National Service Scheme (NSS)
A scheme for students sponsored by
Ministry of youth affairs & sports, Government of India for the U.G.
& P.G. students was launched during Gandhi Centenary Year (1969).
Sindhu Mahavidyalaya has unit of 200 students as volunteers since 2001
with a goal “Education through Community Service and Community service
through Education”. The motto of NSS is Not Me But You. The events such
as Blood Donations, Tree Plantation, Nirmalya Sankalan, eye check-up
camp, State level camps and National Level camps are wonderful &
memorable experience to volunteers. Dr. S.L. Dahire and Dr.Satish Tewani are coordinating the unit successfully.The scheme also provides incentive
marks & certificate issued by university.
National Cadet Corps (NCC)
National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services
Organisation comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in
grooming the youth – ‘The Leaders of Tomorrow’ – into disciplined and
patriotic citizens. After independence the present day NCC under the
Ministry of Defence came into existence on 16 Apr 1948 through NCC act
XXXI, 1948. NCC was formally inaugurated on 15 Jul 1948 as soon as the
schools and colleges reopened after summer vacation. The Girls Division
of the NCC was started in Jul 1949. In 1950 Air Wing was added on 01 Apr
with one Air squadron each at Bombay and Kolkata. The Naval Wing of the
NCC was raised in Jul 1952, thus completing the true representation of
all services in the Corps.
Institute is running open unit of NCC. Dr. G. Rama Rao is coordinating the unit successfully.
Life Long Learning and Continuous Education
In view to deploy adult education
through students in college UGC has started ACE program. Now the name of the programme is changed as Life long learning and continuous education. Utilization of
institute resources for society and enriching education through the
experiences are the objectives of Program. The scheme also provides
incentive marks & certificate issued by university. Mr. R.N. Naktode of department of chemistry is coordinating the unit successfully.

Committee
As per University Grants Commission
(UGC) Act,
ragging in
all its forms is totally banned in
Dada Ramchand Bakhru
Sindhu Mahavidyalaya. In order to curb and punish such kind of activity, the college has Anti ragging Committee.

Committee (ICC)
Internal Complaints Committee is formed
as per UGC regulation 2015 dated 2nd May 2016for prevention,
prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students of
the institution. This Regulation describe responsibilities of the higher
educational institutes, grievance redressal mechanism, process for making
complaint and conducting inquiry, interim redressal, punishment and
compensation, consequences of non-compliance etc.

Empowerment Cell
SMV-Women Empowerment Cell of Dada
Ramchand Bakhru Sindhu Mahavidhyalaya, is established in the year 2012. Dr.
Vijaya Kumar, Head, Department of Physical Education is the Co-ordinator of
SMV-WEC. All the women faculty and some girl students from each department of
college are enrolled as volunteers of the cell. The SMV-Women Empowerment Cell
helps to improve intellectual and social upliftment of the female students and
to make them aware through the guest lectures, seminars, awareness program and
other activities.

Environmental Cell
Environmental cell have been functioning efficiently by taking necessary steps to
maintain academic, social, ecological and environmental issues in an endeavor
to find solutions that will benefit society as a whole. Positive role of
modeling is provided in order to create responsible citizens. The Environmental
Studies cell has been continuing its efforts for awareness about sustainable
use of natural resources and conservation of fragile ecosystem. Dr. Rajkumar
Khapekar Head department of Botany is co-ordinating the cell successfully.

Curricular Activity Cell
The Extra Curricular Activity Cell of the
College is a catalyst between students and their talent. The Cell renders the
platform and encourages students to identify and employ their talents by
participating in various extracurricular activities. The college has two
significant Association / Club which work actively for the personality
enhancement of students of the institute. The in-house association is Students’
Literary, Creative & Cultural Association and we work in collaboration with
Rotract Club Unit, North Nagpur. Cell is co-ordinated by Dr. Leena Chandani.

Placement is a crucial interface between the stages of completion of academic program of the students and their entry into the suitable employment. The institute gives assistance to the each student in exploring placement opportunities by campus recruitment drive for the final year

Objectives:
1. The institution has a well-defined self-appraisal system for the teaching faculty.
2. All teachers are required to fill and submit their Annual Performance Appraisal
form at the end of academic session.
3. The Self Appraisal Form includes information regarding number of lectures
delivered during session, rewards and recognition, academic qualification
enhancement, short term course, professional course attended, books published,
research papers published, project awarded, Ph.D. programme and any other
relevant information.
4. For career advancement scheme, teacher has to submit the prescribed PBAS form
with required details and annexure for timely processing and implementation.
5. Performance Appraisal of non teaching staff is done through confidential report.
